Found Art, Making Paper

I just watched Julie and Julia. I thoroughly enjoyed the Julia part. Meryl Streep is the best actor in the world… but so what? She got paid, and good for her. It’s not like I rented the movie or something.

A guy I know once “wrote” a compilation of Chewbacca quotes from a Star Wars comic book.

In the 6th grade, I was tasked, in art class. with “making paper,” the process of which included taking construction paper, shredding it in a blender with water, and then spreading the slurry over a screen to dry. I’ve extended this process to make cotton. I simply put clothing into a washing machine, and wash it. Then, I transfer it to a dryer, and dry it. Voila! Cotton.

Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, blah, blah, blah. Euclid, Hilbert, etc.

Julie Powell = stains.

Self-deception is still deception.

It was a list of all of Chewbacca’s dialogue from the comic book version of the Empire Strikes Back. Presenting the info the way I presented it was arguably a creative act. Dumb? Sure.
